Parents of single babies have it so easy! It sounds stupid, but the hardest thing about having twins is the fact that there are two of them. Our favourite saying at the moment is “one f***ing baby” or OFB for short. Generally said in an exasperated tone at 4 in the morning when one twin wakes up having spent the last hour settling the other one. As in, “Imagine how much sleep we’d get if it were just one. OFB!”.

There are no economies of scale as far as we can work out either. Stuff just takes twice as long. Or longer. Sometimes I wonder whether it would be easier if Anita and I just moved into separate parts of the house and took one baby each, acting like two sets of single parents. We would just say good morning as we passed on the stairs and then go back to our respective sleeping / wailing baby. Then once they’ve learned to sleep through the night like normal humans we could reunite as a family…

Anyway, other than being two individual babies who mostly refuse to synchronise naps, Hatty and Wilf are doing super. Here are some cute photos as an antidote to my parental whining…

In case it’s not immediately obvious, it’s probably worth me saying that this post was intended to be humorous…
Parents of single babies and especially single parents, you are all awesome and parenting in any situation is tough at times! No offence meant!

Despite the whining …. you all look tremendously well and wonderfully . One might almost say – smugly, happy and thoroughly pleased with life. Wonderful photo’s
Chris asked me to let you know he asked after you and is very much hoping you’ll be at Sunday Assembly

Love the double-wearing in particular. We had our twins in a single mobi-wrap for a bit until they were a bit bigger (as in over 7lb each), but I hadn’t considered the possibility of wearing two.
